MOTA Awards and Recognition

Recognizing Today's Leaders in the Field of Occupational Therapy

The Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association continuously hears of OT professionals who go above and beyond the call of duty. Help us recognize these occupational therapy leaders and inspirations by nominating an OT or OTA for one of the below awards.

The MOTA Award Committee meets annually to review nominations and select recipients. Contact the MOTA office with any questions or for additional information.


MOTA Occupational Therapist of the Year

Purpose: To recognize members of MOTA who with their knowledge and expertise have made a significant contribution to the advancement of occupational
therapy within the state of Minnesota.

MOTA Communication Award

Purpose: To honor a MOTA member who has creatively contributed to the development of the body of knowledge of the profession. To acknowledge the development of improved methods and techniques in the practice of occupational therapy that improve service to clients or the public and that foster public awareness of
the profession. To recognize contributions to the profession made by or through research, education and/or practice in occupational therapy. To enable members
to benefit from new or revised knowledge and developments in the profession. To encourage OTRs and COTAs to express and publish the results of their studies in
order to share their knowledge and experience with the MOTA membership.
