How can we optimally use our brains to improve the function of our bodies? Discover the power of imagery, touch, and movement to improve shoulder function, applying concepts from the Franklin Method—connecting body/mind, posture, breath, health, and motivation. Explore experiential anatomy of the shoulder girdle, increasing awareness of the body’s design and functional interaction of joints and muscles. Exercise with small balls to melt away tension and experience smooth joint action, increased circulation, and balanced posture.
Angela Kneale, OTR/L, is a 1994 summa cum laude graduate from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has achieved full certification in Pilates instruction from internationally recognized Stott Pilates, and has completed Franklin Method Level I teacher training. Professional experience includes industrial rehabilitation, employee wellness, home health, and outpatient/inpatient treatment of individuals with physical and neurological disabilities. She provides therapy services through her private practice in Anoka, teaches Pilates exercise and wellness, is the author of four books, and specializes in the integration of movement, breathing, postural alignment, and relaxation techniques for optimal health.
