Course Description: 

MOTA Mental Health SIG and OTAMMHS NETWORKING P-OT LUCK (Please bring a festive dish to share).  This will be a chance to meet with OT’s with interest and/or experience in Mental Health. MOTA Mental Health Special Interest Group has been meeting at PRC for almost 20 years, and for the past 5 years have met every month, all year long.  We have been providing interesting and educational speakers, free CEU’s and a chance to network with like-minded OT’s, OTA’s and students whose hearts lie in the mental health realm. OTAMMHS (OT for the Advancement of MN Mental Health Services) has been meeting for almost 3 years, working to network with OTs, OTAs.

Objectives:
1. Attendees will be able to identify 2 reasons for attending MOTA MH SIG meetings
2. Attendees will be able to identify 2 reasons for attending OTAMMHS meetings
3. Attendees will be able to add 3 contacts to their professional networking tree
4. Attendees will be able to identify 2 ways that another OT professional supports individuals with a mental illness

 

Target Audience: OTR, OTA, OTS with interest in mental health OT.
