Event Description:  This session will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the ADA by reviewing evidence-based occupational therapy and interprofessional literature on disability and participation. Presenters will provide recommendations for practice based on their review of the evidence and literature related to environmental factors and disparities, attitudes and perspectives, assessment, and programs/interventions to support full participation in society.

Speaker Biography:  Presenters are current students in the first year of the graduate occupational therapy curriculum at St. Catherine University. Their EBP course has been guided by Dr. Julie Bass this semester.  Contact for more information:  [email protected]

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the Evidence-Based Practice process.
  2. Summarize current research and levels of evidence for disability and participation related to environmental factors, attitudes and perspectives, assessments and programs/interventions.

  4. Discuss professional and governmental resources related to disability and participation.
