MOTA's MIssion and Vision in Action

MOTA's Mission is to enhance the professional development of its members, promote the profession of occupational therapy, and advocate for the provision of occupational therapy services across all practice arenas, populations and geographic locations in Minnesota.

In the past, MOTA has worked with the Department of Human Services to ensure patients on Medical Assistance receive timely occupational therapy. MOTA has advocated for practitioners to allow more flexibility in the requirements for continuing education credits. This year, MOTA worked with the Minnesota Legislature to move the licensing of occupational therapy practitioners out of the Minnesota Department of Health and into a newly created Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.

MOTA is committed to ongoing fulfillment of its mission. MOTA is here for you as we continue to advocate for the protection of occupational therapy services, improve access to current information and resources, and provide enhanced and meaningful CE offerings Take a look at our website and see how you can help us.
