Event Description Discuss the role of occupational therapy in sex and intimacy through a pre-recorded PowerPoint presentation.
Speaker Biography Rachel Hadges, OTDS, is currently in her 6th semester at the University of Minnesota’s Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Program. She was initially interested in this topic for her capstone project. Her interest grew during an independent study as she used a social media platform to advocate and educate on the role of occupational therapy in sex and intimacy.
Learning Objectives Participants will: • Understand occupational therapy’s role in sex and intimacy. • Determine strategies to increase OT practitioners' comfort and confidence in initiating conversations with clients and other healthcare workers.
