Event Description
Powerpoint presentation presenting the current state of prosthetic function afforded finger and partial hand amputees due to recent technological advancements in manufacturing, improving the outlook for  these patients in a profound way.

Identification of problem: Previous lack of functional prosthetic solutions, led healthcare workers to a  need for updates in manufacturing technology that has allowed for prosthetic devices to be strong  enough to improve outcomes in both a physical sense, but also (maybe surprisingly) in a mental and  fiscal sense

Discussion of solution: Review of current prosthetic solutions for this population and the process by  which finger and partial-hand amputees can acquire them and return to work, to ADLs, to activities they love.

This presentation will utilize images and video clips of varying levels of amputation and usage of  devices, as well as case studies, AMA data relative to impairment, and anecdotal testimonials.
